Widths, Lengths & Cuttings
Width Specs:
4.5 inch (114.30 mm) minimum, admitting 5 percent (by volume) narrows.
Length Specs:
72 inch (182.88 cm) minimum.
Cutting Specs:
3 inch (76.20 mm) by 24 inch (60.96 cm) C1F. In 4/4 and 5/4, 3 inch (76.20 mm) by 18 inch (45.72 cm) finger joint cuttings are allowed. A 3 inch (76.20 mm) by 18 inch (45.72 cm) C2F cutting is accepted in 4/4 and 5/4 only. No Limit to the number of cuttings allowed.
Grade Notes
This grade admits all boards of 24 inch (60.96 cm) and over surface measure yielding not less than 50 percent clear, one-face cuttings with the reverse side of the cuttings being a SOUND CUTTING.
SIDE BEND is limited to 1inch (25.40 mm).
PIN KNOTS are not considered defect.
