The Pallet Gang Saw Starts the Pallet Lumber Manufacturing Process

The pallet gang saw receives mini-cants from the rotary gang saw and small cants from the headrigs.

Each cant is positioned in the pallet gang saw to maximize pallet board recovery while making a high-grade furniture board from each side of the cant.

Cascade Hardwood currently makes pallet with a thickness of  11/16 (17.46 mm). We also make a pallet product that is 1.50 x 3.75 inches (38.10mm x 95.25 mm).

Leaving the gang saw, the lumber is sorted by thickness only and sent on to the pallet trimming saw.
