![]() Careful Board Length Trimming Begins to Define the Final Piece of Lumber Both ends of the board are trimmed to establish square, parallel and flat ends. At the same time the boards are trimmed to a final length of 8 or 10 feet (240 cm and 300 cm) before they move to the lumber sorting area. Throughout our facilities we use the best mechanical handling systems to allow our operators to focus on quality control and production maximization. Here, as in all aspects of our manufacturing process, our management system provides a wide range of performance and quality checks. These benchmarks are also used by the Process and Quality Control Department, and provide an additional source of production information for them to examine and apply. |
